Friend/boyfriend help?

so I went out with this guy on and off for a few months in the fall of 2005..and he ended up cheating on me with my best friend and secretly going out with us bothat the same time ...so one day me and my best friend told him we didnt want to be his friend anymore..he got mad and made up rumors about us beings s and stuff so we got in this big fight were we made up rumors about eachother and told eachothers secrets to everyone..anyway he turned the whole school against us pretty much..but by the time school started this year everyone had pretty much forgotton and moved on..then a few days ago i got his msn addy from one of my friends and started talking to him..he said he never was mad at us and never hated us..we talked about everything that happend apoligized and everything and now i wanna be friends with him again because i really miss him..he dosnt know if its a good idea because he thinks we cause drama..we really want to be his friend again but its impossible not to fall..
