Have most people forgotten about the earlier part of Pac's career?

I kind of like to think of Pacquiao's mainstream career in two chapters. The part before the Delahoya fight is what people still seem to forget. If Manny were to retire right after beating Diaz for the 135 belt would he be considered a hall of famer? Defeating Barrera 2x Morales 2x 1 draw and 1 close decision againts Marquez. All three of them hall of famers. I asked this because I wonder how important is his post delahoya part of his career is.
