Pantene Beautiful Lengths 2 in 1: Does it work on Black hair?

I just bought the 2 in 1 Beautiful Lengths shampoo by Pantene. My hair is currently in micro braids and I'm trying to grow my hair long (natural hair is about top of neck length with some breakage on the hairline). I'm gonna use it when i take them out (couple days). Am I wasting my money? Will it work for me because regardless of texture differences?
